Welcome to the new Australian 5O5 website. It contains a number of features which should make it easier for 505 sailors around the contry to communicate, buy & sell boats plus see whats happening with the latest news and events. Ian Gregg has volunteered to take on the role of webmaster so please help him out with news and information. Registering on the website will also give you access to the 505 sailors forum. You need to be logged on to the website before you can create a new topic or reply to an existing one.

505 Classifieds

The site also includes a dedicated classifieds section where you can post for sale and wanted ads for anything relating to 505 sailing. Got a boat to sell, need a mast, available to crew? Whatever the ad, place it here Again, you need to be registered and logged on to place or edit an advertisement.

505 Events

Also incorporated in the site is an events calendar. Any registered user is able to add an event and we would encourage you to do so. (Please keep it to events of some significance though, not the mid-week, twilight sternchaser at your local club!) 505 Members Directory

This website also contains a directory of 505 sailors who have registered their details on the website. This is a resource for 505 sailors Australia-wide to help them get in contact with each other and open up communication from state to state. This 505 community directory can only be accessed by registered users.

Once you have registered and logged in, 3 new menu items will appear under the main menu link Members. They are -

• Members List - see a list of registered 505 sailors, their contact details & 505 profile information
  
• Edit Your Profile - link to edit your profile
• Search Members - search for 505 sailors using search fields like name, boat number, country, sail number, etc.

One last thing, it would be terrific when you create your online profile to upload an photo of yourself. It makes it a lot easier to put a name to a face when catching up at various events around Australia. Please don't add a picture of your 505 onto your profile. We all know what a 505 looks like but we don't necessarily know what you look like! All profile images get moderated before being published. I will have no qualms about flicking an image of your boat if you submit it.
