7 boats turned up for the weekend at RQYS for 6 races in 5 to 10 knot winds, hot weather, good racing.  It was an international event as Mark Thornburrow flew in from Hong Kong and sailed Earle's spare boat with James Dagge.  Mark has a new boat being delivered to Hamilton Island but wanted to try to remember what a 505 was like after not sailing one since the 70s in Hong Kong.  Bill Cuneo/John Warlow swapped the lead often with Mike Quirk/Sam Heritage and finished one and two for the weekend.  Earle Alexander/Ian Gregg managed third overall but only after being beaten twice by Mark and James in the older boat.  We mixed it up with 2 line starts with the normal RQYS races and 4 gate starts for the races run just for us.  Thanks to Bill Cuneo and the professional volunteers at RQYS.  Detailed results under the results menu at the top of the page or here.
