Another great regatta with 12 boats sailing 6 races in varied conditions at Coffs Harbour on the weekend of 13/14 Feb.  Saturday started with 6-10 knots and increased to about 15 knots by the third race.  Sunday started with 10-15 knots and finished with 15-20.  There was a great dinner at the club on Saturday night and a couple of guys found the bikini girl competition in town after.  The wind and waves were a contrast to the conditions on Lake Macquarie but the racing was still close.

Bill Cuneo and John Warlow showed that they had not forgotten how to sail a 505 and champion laser sailor Brett Beyer showed that he could learn bloody fast by jumping on the back of 8644 which Darren Gilbert had just bought and coming second overall, detailed results click here.

Thanks again to Tom Begbie for helping with the organising on the water.  Darren and Andrew from Coffs Harbour Yacht Club were great hosts.  Andrew from Sandgate brought his plastic fantastic boat down and did a great job setting marks and being guard boat for the gate starts.  He also took lots of photos and video some of which will be up here as soon as we can get a hold of it.  Click on the photos for a larger version in a new window.
