50th International 505 Australian Championships

The International 505 Association is to celebrate it’s 50th Australian Championships on the beautiful waters of the Whitsunday Passage and its surrounding areas from Hamilton Island Yacht Club in 2008. catseye.JPG

The regatta is set to kick off on Sunday March 30th and will conclude on Friday 4th April 2008.  9 races are scheduled in addition to an invitation race on the Sunday.

The regatta promises to be a hotly contested one with likely draw cards to the regatta including the 2 Australian top 10 finishers at the 2007 World Championships, Sandy Higgins and Paul Marsh who finished 3rd and Robbie Deussen and Jordan Spencer who finished 10th both from South Australia.  The current National Champion Michael Quirk who has had previous top 10 placing’s at World Championships will surely not miss the opportunity to defend his title.
